7. Condition & Damage

A pre-rental inspection checklist and photos will be completed at handoff.
Any new damage found upon return not noted in the checklist may be charged to the Renter.
  • Renter is liable for:
    • Flat tires, windshield cracks, or interior damage
    • Smoking in the vehicle ($250 cleaning fee)
    • Loss of keys or equipment (cost of replacement)

8. Breakdowns & Accidents

In the event of a breakdown or accident:
Contact the Owner immediately at
Notify local law enforcement if required
Submit a written incident report within 24 hours
Towing or repairs without Owner consent are not reimbursable.

9. Termination

Owner may terminate this Agreement immediately if:
  • Renter breaches terms
  • Vehicle is misused or illegally operated
  • Payment fails

10. Indemnification & Liability

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from:
  • Any liability, loss, or damage arising from vehicle use
  • Traffic tickets or violations during rental term

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Maryland, including but not limited to:
  • Maryland Transportation Code §18–108 (Vehicle Rental Requirements)
  • Maryland Consumer Protection Act

12. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement. No oral statements or prior writings shall have any force or effect.

I understand that I am personally responsible for any and all loss, theft, or damage to the rental vehicle, and for any liability claims made against me during the rental period. I acknowledge that I have been advised to consult my own automobile insurance provider to determine if my personal policy provides coverage for rental vehicles. I assume full financial responsibility.

      Acknowledgment and Release

      By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I have been provided the opportunity to purchase insurance coverage and have made an informed decision regarding such coverage. I release [Dash Drive Rentals LLC], its officers, employees, and agents from any claims related to loss, damage, or liability arising from my decision to accept or decline insurance coverage.
